ABOUT
OpenSky is committed to enriching lives and advancing society by promoting greater access to the skies—regardless of national borders.

MESSAGE
OpenSky was founded by Mr. Honda, a lifelong aviation enthusiast and accomplished aerobatic pilot with international experience in the U.S. and Europe since the age of 18.
His journey through aviation revealed a stark reality: Japan and much of Asia had yet to fully realize the potential of small aircraft and business jets.
Determined to change that, Mr. Honda created OpenSky to redefine mobility for individuals and corporations—while also harnessing aviation to solve real-world challenges, such as improving access in remote areas and supporting regional medical transport.
At the heart of aviation lies a simple, yet powerful idea: "Anywhere with a runway—or even a grassy field—can be a gateway to the world."
Despite decades of progress in aircraft technology and air traffic systems, the freedom and flexibility of flight remain among its most compelling strengths.
OpenSky is pioneering a new model for private aircraft ownership and operation. Beyond the aircraft, we are rethinking aviation infrastructure—enhancing airport access, expanding runway capabilities, and creating a more dynamic, interconnected sky over Japan and Asia. In the coming decade, the map of Asia will feel smaller—more accessible—thanks to a sky made open for all.
